Setp 1: Find out what connectors you Mac computer has

Apple computers have their own connectors types. Take a look at our Apple connectors guide section.

Once you know what connector your computer has you will need an adapter to plug it to a projector.

Step 2: Connect the computer to the projector

Use the adapter in step 1 to connect the computer to a projector via a HDMI or VGA cable. Then plug in both the projector and the laptop to a electric socket.

Step 3: Power on everything

We highly recommend to switch on the projector first. This usually works straight away.

Step 4: Configure your Mac to use the projector

  1. Go to "System Preferences".
  2. Select "Displays".
  3. Click on "Detect displays".
  4. Now you should see the image on the projector.

If this does not work try the following:

  1. Go to "System Preferences".
  2. Select "Displays".
  3. Select the "Arrangement" tab.
  4. Check the "Mirror displays" box.
  5. Be patient. Wait a few seconds until the image is displayed.
